A ProtoLah app · Made for Malaysia
Tangan gatal? Keep lah.
KeepLah is a spending tracker that answers the only question that actually stops you buying things: how much longer will this cost me?
Type one line. It tells you exactly how many days that RM45 booster box just added to your savings goal. Park the itch for 48 hours instead, and it pays you in points you can only earn.
Free. No card. No ads. Works offline, and installs to your home screen like an app.
Three moves. That is the whole app.
Log it in one line
teh ais 2.50. grab 15. salary 5500. It parses the line, picks the category and saves in about a third of a second — offline, no account round-trip.
See what it really cost
Not a pie chart. A number of days. Every want-spend is converted into delay on the goals you set, and the running total for the month sits on your home screen.
Park the itch instead
Log the thing you want without buying it. It goes into a 48-hour cooldown, then asks once: still want it? Resist and the money you did not spend becomes points.
The part that keeps you coming back
Swap the buying dopamine for a pull you did not pay for.
Resisting an itch earns Scratch Points — one point per ringgit you did not spend. Points open blind boxes and card packs and fill a shelf of 18 collectable Keeplings, with duplicates, fusions, streaks and a pity counter that guarantees a rare one eventually. Same loop as the thing you were about to buy. None of the cost.
Scratch Points can only be earned. There is no way to buy them — no shop, no bundle, no “top up”. A savings app that sells you loot boxes is just the itch wearing a different shirt.
What else is in there
Envelopes that hold
Needs, wants and savings, with sub-envelopes for food, transport and the shopping itch. Fixed commitments — car, house, parents — come off the top, so the split applies to money you actually have.
Malaysian by default
Ringgit, sen, Manglish shorthand. Gross-to-net working with EPF, SOCSO and EIS at current rates, and your PCB read off your payslip rather than guessed.
A panic button
One tap when the urge hits: a five-minute breathing pause, then your goal and what the thing would cost it. No shame, no lecture.
Weekly digest, monthly verdict
What you spent against what you planned, one thing to fix, and an end-of-month verdict that either celebrates properly or roasts you properly. Your choice of tone.
Something to do instead
A boredom menu and a shelf of short reads from lepaklah.com for the ten minutes where you would otherwise be scrolling a marketplace.
Yours, and it stays yours
Everything works offline and syncs when it can. Export the lot as a file whenever you want, and delete the account for real when you are done.
Showable on purpose
Hold up your phone without showing your salary.
“RM44 left for food this week” is a thing you can say at a table. What you earn is not. So the home screen shows what is left and what a goal has to go, and your income, your budget split and your envelope limits live in Settings behind a deliberate tap.
Scratch the itch. Keep the cash.
Set one goal, log one line, and see the number of days. That is the whole first session — about ninety seconds.
Log inAccounts are by invitation.
